Beach Tales and Sandy Trails

Incorporated in 1954, the Half Moon Community Beach Association is a private beach and wetland sanctuary in Sands Point, New York, that covers nearly 300 feet of shoreline at the tip of the Port Washington peninsula—a rare North Shore of Long Island coastal oasis less than 25 miles from Manhattan.

We aim to build community while supporting our greatest natural ecosystem, the Half Moon Beach and Wetlands.

“…today’s most endangered ecosystem dwells on our little peninsula. ”
